(Small Notes for the issue)
In 2009, Japan and Austria are celebrating 140 years of diplomatic relations, which officially started on Oct. 18, 1869. At that time, Austria was known as Austro - Hungarian Empire. To commemorate this friendship year, a joint stamp issue was released from both countries.
