(Small Notes for the issue)

These stamps were issued to commemorate the UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction held from March 14th to 18th 2015. The conference was organized by the UN in order to establish international guideline and policy on action for disaster risk reduction. The 3rd conference was held in Sendai in Miyagi prefecture which was hit by the Great East Japan Earthquake, with the aim of adopting a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction.
