(Small Notes for the Issue)

A week from 20 April is the Philatelic Week in Japan. The first commemorative stamp of the Philatelic Week was issued on 1 November 1947 (C115).

This year the stamp depicts "Keshi (poppies)" painted in 1921 by Kobayashi Kokei (1883-1957), which is now in possession of Tokyo National Museum, Ueno, Japan.
