(Small Notes for the Issue)

It was from 1948 that the New Year's Stamps were issued annually. For this issue, Girl and Rabbit (N6), Mochi-tsuki Usagi (rabbit pounding steamed rice into rice cake, N79), Rabbit Bell (N18) and Meoto Usagi-no Mochi-tsuki (a pair of rabbits making rice cake, N43) are reprinted. Also a girl playing shuttlecock is at the sheet margin taken from the New Year's Stamp for 1949 (N4).
