"Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway" was opened to traffic between Kobe and Naruto via Awaji on 5 April 1998. The total length of the expressway is 89 kilometers (60 miles). The stamps depict the bridge and whirling waves (R237) and the bridge in spring (R238).
