This song was composed by Mitake Akira with the words written by Akijmoto Yasushi. One of the representative songs of Misora Hibari (1937-1989), who was also depicted in commemorative stamps of Fifty Postwar Memorable Year Series. (C1554-1555, issued on 8 November 1996).

The song was made by Araki Toyohisa. Nagata Moe, the illustrator of the stamp, has provided many illustrations for Japanese commemorative stamps, mostly the ones for Letter Writing Day in July.
