N83: 50 New Year's stamp depicts Karatsu-Yama doll, which is a miniature of the float. "Shichihoumaru (treasure ship)" is the 14th float of Karatsu-Kunchi festival.
N84: 80 yen New Year's stamp for 2000 depicts dragon of Tsuneishi papier-mache doll, which is a folk toy of Tsuneishi, Hiroshima, since the 1890's. The characteristics of Tsuneishi papier-mache doll is its roundness.
