Japan Grand Prix International Orchid Festival is an annual event at Tokyo Dome, Japan. More than 450,000 people visited the festival in 1998, in which about 80,000 items were exhibited. For this year the festival is held from February 20 to 28.

R270: The stamp shows the winner of Japan Grand Prix in 1998, phalaenopsis (Phal. Cygnus 'Renaissance') by Watanabe Naokazu.

R271: The stamp shows the winner of Superiority Award at the festival in 1998, vanda (V. Pat Delight 'Tomo') by Masuyama Katsuhiro.
