(Small Notes for the Issue)

The stamps depict Iguanodon and Dromaeosaurus, representative ones among the fossils of dinosaurs from Fukui. The fossils of dinosaurs in Japan are chiefly found in the stratum called Tedori. About 80% of the dinosaurian fosils in Japan are found in Fukui around Katsuyama City.
