(Small Notes for the Issue)

The 23rd World Championships of Rhythmic Sports Gymnastics was held at Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium, from 28 September to 3 October 1999. This is the first time for the champoinships to be held in Asia. There were fifty-nine countries and areas participating the event. The stamp represents "Osaka, Sports Paradise," a slogan of the city and a gymnast.
