The pilgrimage circuit of 88 temples on Shikoku is the road over 1,400 kilometers to visit the temples related to Kukai (774-835), Buddhist priest. There are many National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties among the temples. The road starts in Tokushima, going through Kouchi and Ehime, and ends in Kagawa.
