Kokinshu (Collection of Japanese Poems from Ancient and Modern Times) was
officially commissioned under Emperor Daigo and completed in 905. Shin-Kokinshu
was ordered by retired emperor Gotoba and completed in 1205. Stamps depict
the representative poets of the greatest Imperial anthologies of classical
Japanese poetry.
