[Note on the Stamp]
The 57th National Afforestation Ceremony, the annual main event of the campaign, was held on 21 May, 2006, in Gifu under the slogan of "Be grateful and hand the blessing of forests to the future." The stamp depicts milk vetch (the representative flower of Gifu), Mt. Norikuradake and Gifucho butterflues (which were named after Gifu).
