[Notes on the Stamps]
The pilgrimage circuit of 88 temples on Shikoku island of Japan is the road over 1400 kilometers to visit the temples related to Kukai (777-835), Buddhist priest. There are many National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties among the temples. The road starts in Tokushima, going through Kouchi and Ehime, and ends in Kagawa.
