[Note on the Stamps]
Cerebrating Japan's 50th anniversary becoming the UN member, the stamps
depict two of works illustrated by an official artist from A Culture of
Peace & Development for WAFUNIF programmes in support of the United
Nations System. Hiroshige's "Fifty-three stations of the Tokaido Road"
ended after it's 6 years nominee for the motif of this series. FYI: 130
yen stamp was canceled to be issued because of its lack of usage.
