This is the first issue of Japanese Architecture Series which introduce prominent architecture in Japan. The engraving printing process is used for the first time in 12 years since the issuance of "Cultural Figures Series" in 2004. The first series depict Byodoin Hoo-do (World Heritage Site) and Former Crown Prince's Palace (State Guest House, Akasaka Palace; National Treasure).
