These stamps are issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the conclusion of Treaty of Amity, Commerce and Navigation between Japan and Denmark. "Hygge", in Danish, a warm and comfortable atmosphere comes from interaction among people, is a theme of the stamps, which depict cut out style illustrations with motifs of sightseeing, culture and industry in Denmark.
