(Small Notes for the Issue)

C1613: "Medaka-no gakko (school of killifish)" was composed by Nakata Yoshinao with the words written by Chaki Shigeru. Initially, the stamp was planned to be issued on 16 March 1998. However, owing to the misprinting the name of composer (written Tanaka instead of Nakata) in the sheet margin, the issue date was postponed a week. The error stamps were destroyed.

C1614: "Aoi sanmyaku (blue mountains)" was composed by Hattori Ryoichi and the words by Saijo Yaso (1892-1970). Originally, it was the theme song for a film made in 1949, which was based on a novel by Ishizaka Youjiro (1900-1986), "Aoi sanmyaku."
